Jeremy Hanson is a water quality professional with extensive experience in environmental policy and program coordination. Currently serving as the Coordinator for the Water Quality Goal Implementation Team at Chesapeake Research Consortium since October 2021, Jeremy oversees efforts to implement Best Management Practices (BMPs) aimed at reducing nutrient and sediment loads. Prior experience includes a role as Project Coordinator at Virginia Tech, managing expert panels that assess BMP effectiveness and facilitate stakeholder engagement with the Chesapeake Bay Program. Additional roles at Chesapeake Research Consortium, the Environmental Finance Center, and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation have contributed to expertise in stormwater management, compliance research, and policy analysis. Jeremy holds a Master of Public Policy in Environmental Policy from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Political Science from the University of Nebraska.
