Katharine Mainprize

Katharine Mainprize has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Starting in 2003, they worked as a Senior Account Manager at McCann Manchester for four years. In 2006, they became the Director of Versus Cancer, a position they held until 2008. From 2008 to 2013, Katharine served as an Account Director at BJL, managing a team and creating successful advertising campaigns. Katharine then moved on to The Very Group as a Senior Brand Lead, focusing on repositioning the brand and developing advertising strategies until 2015. From 2015 to 2021, Katharine worked at BBC Children in Need, initially as the Head of Brand & Marketing, responsible for brand and marketing strategies across various platforms. In their latest role, they became the Marketing Director at Chester Zoo in December 2021, leading departments encompassing brand, marketing, fundraising, and PR to support the organization's mission of preventing extinction. Additionally, Katharine is also a Co-Founder at Raise since February 2021.

Katharine Mainprize attended Newcastle University from 1997 to 2001, where they pursued a degree in Business Management. Katharine successfully completed their studies and graduated with a 1st BA Hons degree from the university.
