Role purpose

Work with key stakeholders to develop detailed business / functional / technical requirements, and design documentation as part of our business and development teams. To support the growth of the business with a business acquisition and other strategic partnership opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships and partnerships with key stakeholders.
  • To work closely with the business units to gain in-depth understanding of business strategy, processes, services, roadmap and the context in which the business operates.
  • This role will be key to understanding then documenting capabilities/requirements needed to address business challenges/goals.
  • Run any workshops/one-on-one interviews/working group sessions to elicit detailed requirements from key stakeholders e.g., Legal, Compliance, Finance, etc.
  • Provide project level analysis – producing required project analysis documentation (business requirements, scope matrix, use cases, sequence diagrams, future state proposals, UAT plan)
  • Design and gain support for new business operating models and processes.
  • Analyse and identify opportunities to improve processes.
  • Create detailed process flows, acceptance criteria and data specs to support User Stories.
  • Review draft requirements with product owners, functional SME’s and/or relevant build partners.
  • Prepare documentation for sign-off and host design review sessions/ working group sessions with stakeholders and multiple SME’s.
  • Resolve design related queries during implementation and/or build.
  • Be a key contributor in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups to ensure alignment with the development team’s activities. (where required)
  • Work closely with stakeholders to develop training materials and provide support to internal teams to ensure smooth adoption of new processes, features or changes.
  • Assist in post-implementation reviews to gather feedback, assess outcomes against objectives, and identify areas for improvement.

Skills and experience

  • Experienced in financial services business analysis and requirements gathering. (Experience in business acquisition and outsourcing would be preferred)

  • The ability to translate business concepts into technical requirements (and vice versa when explaining concepts to stakeholders);

  • Experience of working with Stakeholder management

  • Excellent verbal reasoning and written communication skills.

  • Data analysis and process mapping

  • Business requirement gathering and documentation.

  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Experienced in Agile delivery methods and practices especially User Stories and Acceptance Criteria (beneficial).

  • Jira, Confluence, GSuite, LucidChart (beneficial)

  • Industry related qualification / certification (CFA, CISI, CIMA) or Project management qualification (beneficial)
