Xiang Xiao

Xiang Xiao is a seasoned software engineer and research geophysicist with extensive experience in machine learning and software development. Currently at Chevron since 2022, Xiang specializes in Python, Java, and C++ for machine learning applications and contributed to delivering a new Azure Git Python module. Previous roles include software engineering positions at Microsoft and notable tenures at Sinopec Tech Houston and TGS as a research geophysicist. Xiang has a strong background in high-performance computing (HPC) and has been involved in multiple patent developments. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. and MS in Geophysics from the University of Utah and a BS in Geophysics from the University of Science and Technology of China.
