Aaron Austin

Aaron Austin is the SVP & CHRO at CHI Health. Aaron has over 20 years of experience in human resources, and has been in their current position since May 2016. Prior to joining CHI Health, Aaron was the Vice President of Human Resources at CHI St. Vincent. Aaron was responsible for all HR functions, including recruitment, performance management, and employee relations. Under Aaron's leadership, the HR department at CHI St. Vincent was transformed into a service-focused entity that met the needs of its customers. Aaron successfully terminated the services of Allegis Group RPO, saving the organization $3 million over a 3-year period. Aaron also redesigned the Talent Acquisition team and recruited 425 nurses in 12 months. In addition, they reduced RN turnover by 10%, going from 25% to 15% in 12 months. Aaron also introduced Leadership Development Training for all leaders, selected a new vendor for Performance Assessments, and established a new total rewards system. Thanks to Aaron's dedication and expertise, CHI Health is now a leading healthcare provider in the United States.

Aaron Austin holds a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Indiana Wesleyan University, a Bachelor's degree in Workforce Development and Training from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale, and an Associate of Arts (AA) in General Studies from the College of Lake County. Aaron also attended John Adams High School.
