Freelance Sports Humor Columnist at Chicago Tribune

Chris Kelsch has a diverse work experience in various industries. Chris began their career at the Illinois News Network as a morning radio program producer, reporter, and anchor. Chris then moved on to Morningstar, where they initially worked as a Mutual Fund Analyst, conducting research and writing comprehensive analysis for print, online, and software products. Chris also worked as a Sales and Product Support Specialist, handling customer inquiries and assisting with website migration.

Chris's next role was as the Vice President/National Sales Director at the Terrana Group. Here, they were responsible for leading the national sales team and implementing sales strategies.

Chris then transitioned to freelance work and joined the Chicago Tribune Media Group as a Freelance Sports Humor Columnist. Chris wrote a weekly column for the Chicago Tribune RedEye and appeared in the "Five on Five" feature. Chris also co-hosted a radio podcast and was featured in a special series on WGN TV's Morning News.

Chris also worked at To The Wall Creative as an Improvisational Actor, Writer, and Filmmaker. Chris co-wrote, acted in, and produced comedy shorts and performed with various comedy troupes at ImprovOlympic in Chicago.

Chris'smost recent role was at Phoenix Media Corp. as a Project Coordinator/Editorial Researcher. Chris researched and developed profile pieces for leading Manufacturing and Management companies, working closely with senior-level executives.

Currently, Chris is working at Knighthouse Media as an Associate Editor.

Chris Kelsch attended Michigan State University from 1986 to 1990, where they received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in International Relations and Affairs.
