Patricia Dorling

Patricia Dorling has a diverse work history, starting their career as an Assistant Professor at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina. Patricia then worked as a Postdoctoral Researcher at Washington University School of Medicine and Washington University in St. Louis. After their research roles, they joined The BALSA Group as a Consultant, utilizing their expertise to provide data-driven solutions for clients.

As the Senior Director of Pfizer's Value & Evidence Team, they led the Rare Diseases & Gene Therapy team and worked on delivering evidence of the clinical and economic value of their products.

Currently, Dorling is the Head of Global Health Economics and Outcomes Research & Real World Evidence at Chiesi USA, Inc. Patricia has built the HEOR and RWE teams from the ground up and plays a dual role as the Global Head of HEOR and the Global Head of the medical RWE team for Chiesi's Global Rare Disease portfolio.

Patricia Dorling has a diverse education history. Patricia pursued a degree in Pharmacy from Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina from 1998 to 2002. Subsequently, from 2002 to 2004, they completed a Masters in Neuroscience at the same institution. Patricia's academic journey continued at the Federal University of Santa Catarina/Washington University School of Medicine, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Pharmacology from 2007 to 2010. Patricia then acquired a Certification in Health Economics & Outcomes Research from the University of Washington in 2014, to enhance their expertise in this field. Most recently, from 2017 to 2019, they attended the University of Florida, where they pursued a Master of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy with a specialization in Pharmacoeconomics.
