Laney Taylor

Laney Taylor is a research professional currently working as a Research Assistant at Child Trends, the leading research organization in the U.S., since August 2023. In addition to this role, Taylor serves as a Senior Advisor for the Kentucky Student Voice Team, starting in May 2024. Previous experience includes a Data and Policy Summer Scholar position at the Harris School of Public Policy at the University of Chicago, research-focused roles at the University of Kentucky College of Public Health and the Christina Lee Brown Envirome Institute, and various advisory and consulting positions within educational and policy-driven organizations. Taylor holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Centre College and is pursuing a Policy Analytics Credential at the Harris School of Public Policy. Taylor has also contributed to federal legislative work as a Higher Education Policy Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives.
