Victor St. John is an accomplished academic and research professional with extensive experience in criminology and criminal justice. Currently serving as an Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University since August 2023, Victor has held various positions including Research Scientist at Child Trends and Assistant Professor at Saint Louis University. Prior roles include Director of Research and Analysis at the New York City Board of Correction and Senior Research Advisor at MOCA Systems, among others. Victor's teaching experience encompasses several criminology courses at institutions such as John Jay College and Rutgers University, focusing on both traditional and incarcerated student populations. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. and MPhil in Criminal Justice from John Jay College and the Graduate Center, CUNY, as well as a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and a Bachelor of Science in Criminology from State University of New York at Old Westbury.
