Research Scientist at Child Trends

Zoelene Hill is an experienced mixed-methods researcher specializing in policies related to early childhood education, with a particular focus on the experiences and outcomes of low-income children and families. Currently serving as the Associate Director of the Center for Community Partnerships and Policy Solutions at The New York Academy of Medicine since January 2021, Zoelene also holds a position as a Research Scientist at Child Trends since July 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Post-Doctoral Researcher at NYU Steinhardt School of Culture, Education, and Human Development, a Research Fellow at the National Research Center on Hispanic Children and Families, and a Teacher in the School District of Philadelphia. Educational credentials include a Ph.D. in Public Policy from Duke University, an Ed.M. in Education Policy and Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and an A.B. in Politics from Princeton University.
