Claire Boogaard, MD, MPH has a diverse work experience in the healthcare industry. Claire is currently serving as the Chief Quality Officer HSCSN and Community and Population Health Lead at Children's National Hospital since June 2023. Claire also holds the position of Medical Director for the Pediatric Health Network, where they oversee the development and implementation of a 3-year quality strategic plan. Additionally, Dr. Boogaard has served as the Medical Director of the COVID-19 Program from May 2021 to March 2022.

Prior to their current roles, they worked at Childrens National Health System as a Board Certified Attending Physician in the Division of General Pediatrics and Community Health since July 2014. Claire also served as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences from August 2015 onwards.

Dr. Boogaard has been associated with Children's National Health System since 2011, starting as a Pediatric Intern and progressing to Pediatric Resident and ultimately becoming Pediatric Chief Resident from June 2014 to June 2015. In their previous role at Children's National Health System, they worked as the Associate Medical Director/Interim Medical Director, assisting in operations and management, community outreach, and the transition of a primary care clinic to a Medical home.

Claire Boogaard, MD, MPH attended Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine from 2007 to 2011, where they obtained their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree, specializing in Medicine (MD) and Public Health (MPH). Prior to that, they obtained their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from Boston College, where they studied from 2002 to 2006. Additionally, they are Board Certified in Pediatrics, having obtained their certification from the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) in October 2014.
