Daniel Hopkins has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Daniel began their career as an Assistant Accountant at Global Companies, LLC in 1999 before transitioning to a role as an Assistant Systems Administrator at the Center for Language and Speech Processing @ JHU in 2004. Daniel then worked as a Software Engineer & Consultant at BCOI for four years starting in 2004. In 2008, Daniel joined Google as a Software Engineer, where they remained until 2011. During this time, they also co-founded a real-time video communication technology company, OnTheAir, which was later acquired by Yahoo! in 2012. Daniel then moved to Yahoo! and held the position of Director of Engineering, Mobile Growth & Emerging Products from 2013 to 2016. Following their tenure at Yahoo!, Daniel co-founded Telescope in 2016 and served as the company's CTO until 2019. Currently, they are the Director of Engineering at Chime, a leading challenger banking company in the U.S.

Daniel Hopkins completed their education at The Johns Hopkins University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from 2003 to 2006. Daniel then pursued further studies at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from 2006 to 2007. Prior to their college education, Daniel attended Lexington High School between 1999 and 2003. Additionally, they hold a certification in CFA Level 1 from the CFA Institute, though the month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
