Colin Gibbs

Colin Gibbs has had an extensive and fulfilling career in the telecommunications and networks industry. Colin retired in 2019 after many years of work. Prior to retirement, Colin held various positions in different companies. Colin was the Manager of Network Engineering at Chorus NZ Limited from 2012 onwards. Before that, they served as the Head of IP and Transport at Alcatel-Lucent New Zealand from 2007 to 2012. Colin also worked at Motorola Enterprise Mobility Business (EMb) from 2004 to 2007, where they held the roles of Director of Systems Engineering, Worldwide Sales, Director of Systems Engineering EMEA, and Director of Systems Engineering, EMEA. Additionally, Colin worked at Nortel Networks, where they served as the Director of Pan-EMEA Partners and the Director of Sales Consulting EMEA from 1998 to 2004. Earlier in their career, Colin was the Director of European Operations at Answersoft, Inc from 1997 to 1998. Colin started their career at Newbridge Networks as the Director of VIVID Business Unit EMEA from 1994 to 1997.

Colin Gibbs' education history includes attending Basildon Technical College from 1978 to 1980, where they obtained a TEC degree in Electronics. Prior to that, they studied at Thurrock Technical College from 1970 to 1974, earning a C&G degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering.
