Shaun Evening

Shaun Evening has a diverse work background in various roles and companies. Shaun currently works as a Developer Experience Engineer at Chromatic since August 2022. Before that, they served as a Principal Engineer at Very Small Horse starting from July 2022.

In 2019, Shaun joined Wealthsimple and held multiple positions during their tenure. Shaun worked as a Senior Software Engineer, Frontend Foundations from November 2021 to June 2022. In this role, they focused on enhancing internal documentation, onboarding materials, and implementing analytics into the development process.

Additionally, at Wealthsimple, Shaun worked as an Engineering Manager, Funding from January 2021 to November 2021. Shaun oversaw the growth and development of a team of 5-8 developers while contributing to major organizational initiatives.

Before Wealthsimple, Shaun spent time at Bridge School as a Director of Frontend Education from October 2019 to July 2020, an Instructor from September 2018 to July 2020, and a Volunteer from July 2017 to July 2020. Shaun also served as an Instructor Operations Lead from January 2019 to October 2019.

Shaun's experience also includes roles at Rangle.io, where they worked as a Solution Architect from May 2019 to September 2019 and as a Software Developer from January 2017 to May 2019. Additionally, they worked as a Front End Developer at CareerJSM for a brief period in 2016, taking on responsibilities such as building and maintaining front-end applications and implementing practical solutions.

Furthermore, Shaun had early experience at Durham College: Office of Research Services, Innovation, and Entrepreneurship, holding positions as an Applied Research Assistant (Developer) from January 2016 to July 2016 and a Peer Tutor from November 2015 to April 2016.

Shaun Evening began their education journey in 2015 at Durham College. Shaun pursued a degree in Computer Programmer and focused on the field of study in Computer Programming. Shaun successfully completed their program in 2016. In the same year, Shaun enrolled in Lighthouse Labs, where they focused on Web Development. Although they did not pursue a specific degree at Lighthouse Labs, they gained valuable knowledge and skills in this field.
