Kiichi Umezawa

Head Of Global Business Intelligence Division In Japan at J.D. Power

Kiichi Umezawa has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Kiichi started their career in 1996 at the Bank of Japan, where they held roles such as Dealer and Economist. Kiichi then joined the Government of Japan's Financial Services Agency as Deputy Director before moving back to the Bank of Japan as Chief Dealer in the FX Operations department.

In 2010, Umezawa joined Goldman Sachs as an Associate, and later moved to UBS in 2013 as the Head of Business Development in Wealth Management. At UBS, they stayed until 2018, gaining experience in leading and managing the business development team.

In 2018, Umezawa joined J.D. Power as the Head of Japan Financial Service Industry, Managing Director. In 2019, they took on the additional role of Head of Global Business Intelligence Division in Japan.

Throughout their career, Umezawa has demonstrated a strong background in finance and leadership, with expertise in various areas such as business intelligence, wealth management, and FX operations.

Kiichi Umezawa pursued their education with a strong focus on finance and international economics. From 2008 to 2010, they attended The Wharton School, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a specialization in Finance, General. Prior to that, between 1991 and 1996, they completed their Bachelor of Arts in International Relations, with a concentration in International Economics, at the University of Tsukuba.
