T. Michael Johnson

T. Michael Johnson has a strong background in finance and asset management. T. Michael is currently the Managing Director and Global Co-Head of Business Development at CIFC Asset Management since 2022. Prior to that, they served as the Managing Director and Head of Investor Relations for Carlyle Global Credit at The Carlyle Group from 2021 to 2022. From 2017 to 2020, they worked as a Partner and Head of Business Development at Pretium. T. Michael also had a significant tenure at Paulson & Co., where they were a Managing Director from 2008 to 2017, holding the positions of Head of U.S. Institutional Sales and Chief Product Specialist. Their career began at Citigroup Alternative Investments Private Equity GP LLC, where they started as a Director in 2003 and worked until 2008.

T. Michael Johnson has a diverse education history. T. Michael completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Political Science and Government from Boston College from 1985 to 1988. Subsequently, from 1988 to 1991, they pursued a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree from the University of Michigan Law School. After a gap in education, T. Michael Johnson returned to the University of Michigan Law School, where they attained another Doctor of Law (JD) degree. Later, they attended Harvard Business School from 1996 to 1998, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
