Karuna Vempala

Karuna Vempala has over 20 years of experience in talent acquisition and human resources. Karuna currently holds the position of Senior Vice President - Global talent acquisition at Cigniti Technologies, where they are responsible for attracting talent in the areas of Quality and digital engineering skills across 20 diverse countries. Prior to this, Karuna held various leadership roles at Cigniti Technologies, including Vice President Talent Acquisition and Assistant Vice President, Head Global Talent Acquisition. Before joining Cigniti Technologies, Karuna worked as Senior Director- Global Talent Acquisition at another company and was responsible for global talent acquisition and deployment. Karuna also has experience working as a Director- Global Talent Acquisition and Senior Manager - Global Talent Acquisition. Before joining Cigniti Technologies, Karuna worked as Deputy Manager - Global Talent Acquisition at CSC and as Asst Manager- Global Talent Acquisition at AppLabs. Karuna began their career at Nomus, where they worked as a Senior Executive - Talent Acquisition & Human Resources. Throughout their career, Karuna has demonstrated expertise in strategic talent acquisition, global hiring, and recruitment marketing.

Karuna Vempala obtained a Master's Degree in Personnel Management (MPM) from IMED, Pune University between 1997 and 1999. Karuna also completed a Diploma in Labor Law and Labor Welfare (DLL & LW) from Symbiosis, Pune University from 1997 to 1998. Prior to that, Karuna pursued a Master's Program in Human Resources at the Institute of Management Education (IME, Pune) from 1996 to 1998, where they earned a Post Graduate Program in Management.
