Samuel Kim

Samuel Kim has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and research institutes. Samuel is currently the Director of Advanced Research at Cipherome, Inc, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to this role, they founded and served as the Director of IF Research Lab starting in May 2021.

Samuel has also worked as a Principal Research Scientist at Canary Speech from June 2019 to December 2021, and as a Senior Speech Scientist at Gridspace from April 2017 to May 2019.

Before their industry experience, Samuel worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Reunify from October 2013 to April 2017, and as a Research Fellow at Yonsei University from February 2013 to September 2013.

Additionally, Samuel has held research positions as a Postdoc Researcher at Idiap Research Institute from June 2011 to January 2013, and as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Southern California from January 2011 to June 2011. Samuel also worked as a Research Assistant at the University of Southern California from August 2005 to December 2010.

Samuel's earliest work experience includes an internship at Samsung Electronics in 2005 and a research assistant position at Yonsei University from March 2003 to June 2005.

Samuel Kim has a strong educational background in the field of Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Samuel started their academic journey in 1996 at Yonsei University, where they earned their Bachelor of Science (B.S) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2003. After completing their undergraduate studies, Samuel pursued further education and obtained their Master of Science (M.S) degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Yonsei University between 2003 and 2005. Samuel then continued their academic pursuits, enrolling in the University of Southern California in 2005. Samuel successfully completed their studies at USC, earning a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering in 2010.
