Abba Newbery

Abba Newbery has a diverse work experience in marketing, advertising strategy, and communications strategy spanning over two decades. They started their career as a Communications Strategist at Carat in 1999 and later worked as a Managing Partner Communications Strategy at Universal McCann from 2005 to 2009. In 2009, they became the Director of Creative Solutions at News International, before transitioning to the role of Director of Advertising Strategy at News UK in 2012. They then worked as an Independent Consultant from 2016 to 2016, offering their expertise in marketing. In 2016, they joined Google as a Startup Accelerator Mentor and later became a Creator Development Expert at YouTube in 2017. From 2017 to 2022, Abba served as the Chief Marketing Officer at Habito. Abba Newbery attended several educational institutions. In 1980, they started attending Haberdashers' Girls' School and continued until 1989. From 1989 to 1991, they attended Rugby School. Later, from 1991 to 1994, they studied at Durham University, where they completed a BA (Hons) in Ancient History with Latin. In 2011, Abba briefly attended the London Business School, focusing on Strategy for Value Creation.
