Gavin Gao

Gavin (Xuexin) Gao has extensive experience in software development and research engineering. Gavin (Xuexin) worked at Circle Cardiovascular Imaging Inc. starting as a Research and Development Engineer in 2013, eventually becoming a Software Development Lead. In this role, they led teams in the design and development of innovative medical image analysis applications using various technologies and principles, leading to company growth, regulatory approvals, and collaborations. Prior to this, they were a Research Associate at the University of Calgary from 2008 to 2012.

Gavin (Xuexin) Gao completed a Bachelor of Science in Applied Mathematics from Beijing Institute of Technology in 2006. Gavin (Xuexin) then pursued a Master of Science in Physics from the same institute, graduating in 2008. Following this, Gavin obtained a Doctor of Philosophy in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the University of Calgary in 2012.
