Wassim Abourjeili

Wassim Abourjeili has a diverse range of work experience in the finance industry. Wassim is currently the Vice President at CIT Bank, a position they have held since 2018. Prior to that, Wassim worked as an Adjunct Professor of Finance at California State University, Northridge starting from 2015. From 2017 to 2018, they served as a Career Strategist at the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business.

Wassim's career history also includes working as a Partner/Portfolio Manager - Global Fixed Income at Peridiem Global Investors, a role in which they generated investment ideas and implemented investment strategies. Wassim held this position from 2011 to 2015.

Before that, Wassim was the Director - Portfolio Manager at Nuveen Investments from 2004 to 2010, where they managed securitized products and established sector strategies. From 2002 to 2004, they worked as a Portfolio Manager at Banc of America Investments, managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio.

In the early years of their career, Wassim worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte, where they performed strategic analysis for financial services companies. Wassim also served as Vice President - Financial Advisory Group at Valuation Research Corporation, providing advisory services in mergers and acquisitions.

Wassim started their career at GE Capital, where they worked as an AVP-Corporate Finance. In this role, they were involved in various investment transactions and played a part in deals involving debt, equity, and warrant investments.

Throughout their career, Wassim Abourjeili has developed expertise in various areas of finance, including portfolio management, investment strategy, financial analysis, and advisory services.

Wassim Abourjeili completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (B.S) with Honors in Finance from San Diego State University, where they studied from 1988 to 1991. Later, Wassim pursued further education at The Wharton School from 1993 to 1995, earning a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a dual major in Finance and Accounting.
