Data Engineer at Citian

Carley Reardon has a diverse work experience in the field of data engineering and data science. Carley started their career at American Family Insurance as a Software Development Intern, where they developed a web app to streamline document generation. Carley then worked at the University of Wisconsin-Madison as a WES-CS Peer Leader & Curriculum Developer, where they helped introductory computer science students and planned events for them. Carley also worked as a Radio DJ at WSUM 91.7 FM Madison during this time. Carley later joined Maydm as a Summer Course Instructor, teaching coding and robotics to underrepresented middle school students. Carley then worked at IBM as a Senior Data Scientist Intern, where they analyzed medical data and helped build an annotated dataset for AI research. Carley also worked at Boston University as a Research Assistant, conducting data analysis on the correlation between news framing and emotional impact. Additionally, Carley worked as a Database Systems Grader during their time at Boston University. Carley then joined Keystone Strategy as a Data Scientist, conducting research on technical systems and collaborating with industry leaders on AI algorithmic auditing and regulation. In their role as a Data Scientist II at Keystone, Carley built a tool to audit NLP models for bias and performed various data analyses for clients. Currently, Carley is employed as a Data Engineer at Citian.

Carley Reardon completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Artificial Intelligence from Boston University from the year 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science and Mathematics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they studied from 2016 to 2020.

In addition to their academic degrees, Carley Reardon obtained various certifications from IBM, such as "Big Data Foundations - Level 2," "Hadoop Foundations," "IBM Blockchain Essentials," "Spark Fundamentals," "Big Data Foundations - Level 1," "Open Source Foundations," "Data Analysis Using Python," "Data Science Methodologies," "Enterprise Design Thinking Practitioner," "Docker Essentials," and "Machine Learning with Python." These certifications were obtained between the months of May and August 2021.
