Ellen Batens

Ellen Batens is an experienced operations executive currently serving as Vice President of Operations at CitizenLab since May 2023, overseeing the Government Success and People & Operations teams. Prior to this role, Ellen held the position of Head of Operations, managing People & Culture, Operations, and Finance. As Co-Founder and CEO of BloomUp from March 2020 to March 2023, Ellen was instrumental in establishing the company. At DOLFINOS, as General Manager, Ellen successfully led the business in premium medical apparatuses for musicians and secured notable funding and awards. Ellen's previous role as Corporate Development Manager at Sibelco Group involved providing consulting for growth projects across multiple business lines, achieving significant board approvals for investments. Ellen holds a Master's degree in Management from KU Leuven and a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same institution, complemented by studies at Aalborg University.
