Mark Young

Mark Young has a diverse work experience in the field of facilities management. In their most recent role as Head of FM Specification & Compliance at City Facilities Management Holdings Ltd, they were responsible for overseeing FM specification and compliance across a national FM contract. Mark managed a team of 8 direct reports and implemented significant operational changes within the business.

Prior to that, Mark worked at the Department of Health and Social Care as a Mobilisation Programme Lead for Local Test Sites during the Covid-19 pandemic. Mark also served as a Senior Infrastructure Project Manager for the same program.

Mark's previous roles include being the Group Key Account & Business Information Manager at Morris & Spottiswood, where they developed key account strategies and managed business intelligence systems. Mark also worked at CBRE Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) EMEA as an Account Manager, overseeing FM operations for Barchester Care Homes and NEC City Centre Venues.

Earlier in their career, Mark held positions at Integral UK Ltd as a National Account Manager and Mobilisation & Compliance Manager, and at Carillion as a Performance & Compliance Co-ordinator. Mark started their career at Johnson Controls, where they gained a solid foundation in FM.

- In 2009 to 2010, they obtained an IEMA Certificate (Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment) from Key Consultancy.

- In 2005, they completed a NEBOSH Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety from Key Consultancy.

- In 1999 to 2000, they earned a NEBSM Certificate in Management from Dudley College.

- From 1994 to 1997, they studied Electrical Installation (Level one and two) and obtained a City and Guilds qualification from Stourbridge College.
