Sunny Purdin

Sunny Purdin is an experienced librarian with a focus on adult services, currently serving as the Adult Services Librarian for the City of Bedford, TX since August 2023, and previously holding a similar role at the City of Sherman since November 2020. Sunny has a diverse background in library services, including positions at Sherman Public Library, Roanoke Public Library, and Mesquite Public Library. Notable skills include public services, collection development, program creation, and effective marketing strategies which have significantly increased patron engagement. Sunny holds a Master’s degree in Information Sciences and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas, along with a certificate in Advanced Management in Libraries and Information Agencies.
