Pearl Li Ng GAICD has an extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Pearl Li is currently serving as the Head of Smart City, Innovation & Improvement at the City of Casey, where they lead three business units and manages a team of 15 members. Prior to this, Pearl worked at NCY Pty Ltd as a Director. Pearl Li also had a significant tenure at Aurecon, where they held multiple roles including Lead Consultant - Digital Enablement, Melbourne DEI Network Lead, ANZ DEI Council Member, Manager - Digital Products and Services, and Implementation Lead - Digital Advisory. Additionally, they have served on the Committee (Partnership & Events) at Lean In Melbourne and worked as a Co-Founder, Design & Strategy at Thumos Health. Pearl's previous experience includes working as a Senior Consultant (Advisory) at Ernst & Young and as a Business Transformation Consultant (Digital Strategy) at IBM where they were part of the Consulting by Degrees program. Pearl Li has also been involved with Toastmaster International, holding roles such as Secretary and participating in club activities. Furthermore, Pearl has contributed to the University of Melbourne Alumni Association (Malaysia) as a Co-opted Committee member. Overall, their work experience showcases their expertise in smart city initiatives, digital enablement, diversity and inclusion, digital products and services, consulting, and leadership roles.

Pearl Li Ng GAICD has an extensive education history with a diverse range of qualifications. Pearl Li holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical System & Mathematics, which they earned from the University of Melbourne in 2013. In 2014, they pursued a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Chemical with Business from the same university.

To further their academic pursuits, Pearl is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Built Environment (Property, Construction and Project Management) at RMIT University, which they began in 2019 and is expected to complete in 2025. Pearl Li also has a Graduate degree in progress from the Australian Institute of Company Directors since 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Pearl has obtained various certifications and completed additional courses. These include a Professional Diploma in UX Design from the UX Design Institute (2022), a Certified SAFe® 5 Product Owner/Product Manager certification from Scaled Agile, Inc. (2021), and an Information Management Practitioner certification from Operam Academy (2021).

Pearl has also completed numerous online courses through LinkedIn, including "Becoming an Impactful and Influential Leader" (2021), "Creativity at Work: A Short Course from Seth Godin" (2021), "Smart Cities: Solving Urban Problems Using Technology" (2021), and "Selling with Stories, Part 1: What Makes a Great Story?"
