Deanna Shoss has a diverse and extensive work experience. Deanna currently holds the position of Director of Communications and Outreach at the City of Chicago Office of Inspector General. In 2022, they also became a published author of the book "Where Two Worlds Meet: A Guide to Connecting with Your Teenage Grandchildren."
Prior to their current roles, Deanna was the CEO of Intercultural Talk, Inc., where they focused on connecting non-digital natives to their dreams through marketing. Deanna also served as the Director of Marketing, Communications, and Business Development at Jewish Child & Family Services, an impactful social service agency.
Earlier in their career, Deanna was the President & CEO of the League of Chicago Theatres and the Director of Promotions (Public Affairs) at the Chicago Department of Aviation. Deanna also worked as a Marketing & Communications Manager at the Chicago Park District and an Account Supervisor at Arnold Public Relations.
Deanna's work experience dates back to 1986 when they served as the Executive Director of the Newbury Street League.
Deanna Shoss holds a BA in Comparative Literature from Indiana University Bloomington and an MA in Creating multicultural events for intercultural audiences from DePaul University. Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Les Mills Core and Body Pump Instruction from Les Mills US (LMUS). Deanna's certifications also include AFAA Group Fitness Instructor Certification from the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA).
