Sean Ashburn

Sean Ashburn serves as the Director of Communications and Outreach at Tufts University since August 2022, where responsibilities include overseeing staff in communications, managing recruitment territories in greater Boston and New York City, and evaluating applications. Previously, Sean held the position of Associate Director of Admissions at Tufts, focusing on diversity and access initiatives, and advising students from underrepresented backgrounds. Sean's experience also includes working at Excel Academy Charter Schools as Associate Director of Postsecondary Support and various roles in admissions at Tufts, reflecting a strong commitment to educational access and diversity. Sean holds an M.A. in Diversity and Inclusion Leadership from Tufts University and a B.A. in Sociology from Boston University.
