David Solberg

David Solberg serves as the Deputy City Manager, Engineering Director, and City Engineer for the City of Eau Claire since December 2013, overseeing all engineering personnel, activities, and facilities. Additionally, David is currently fulfilling the role of Interim City Manager while the city conducts a search for a permanent replacement. Prior to this, David worked at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation from May 1994 to December 2013, holding positions such as Civil Engineering Supervisor and Civil Engineer Advanced - Project Manager, where responsibilities included managing complex construction projects valued at over $326 million. David holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville and is pursuing a Master of Public Administration at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh.
