Vanessa Audett Sphr

Vanessa Audett, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has extensive experience in human resources and risk management. Vanessa currently serves as the Human Resources Director for the City of Federal Way, where they lead and manages all areas of HR, including recruitment, labor relations, compensation, and compliance with regulations. Prior to this, they were the Human Resources and Risk Management Director for Kitsap Transit, where they directed and administered HR and risk management programs. Vanessa also served as the Human Resources and Risk Management Director for the City of SeaTac, where they developed and executed HR and risk management strategies aligned with the city's goals. Earlier in their career, they held various HR roles at UtilX Corporation, where they managed HRIS, compliance, recruitment, and employee relations.

Vanessa Audett, SPHR, SHRM-SCP has a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Phoenix. Vanessa double majored in Business Management and Business Administration. Additionally, they have earned several certifications throughout their career. In December 2003, they obtained the certification for Professional Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute. In January 2014, they obtained the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR®) Certification from the HR Certification Institute. Lastly, in March 2015, they obtained the SHRM Senior Certified Professional certification from SHRM.
