Jackie Miller has a diverse range of work experience in various communications and marketing roles. Jackie started their career in 2005 at the Orange County Register, where they worked as a Copy Desk Chief, Lead Copy Editor/Designer, Freelance Copy Editor, and Arts + Entertainment Editor. In these roles, they managed publication deadlines, copy edited and designed pages, and updated website content.

Jackie then transitioned to the role of Senior Editor at Questex, where they reported, researched, and wrote features for Response Magazine. Jackie also served as an editor for the publication and provided final page approvals.

In 2009, Jackie joined Vision Design Studio as a Copywriter and Marketing Coordinator. In this position, they coordinated the production of marketing materials for multiple clients, wrote and proofread marketing materials, and brainstormed promotional events and copy.

Jackie's experience also includes working at Oakley as a Corporate Communications Specialist, where they maintained global editorial calendars, facilitated interviews, drafted and posted stories, and monitored content on internal communication channels.

From 2015 to 2017, Jackie worked at the Irvine Ranch Conservancy as a Communications Coordinator and later as a Communications Manager. In these roles, they managed brand consistency, developed and implemented communications campaigns, engaged stakeholders, and wrote various communications materials.

In their most recent role at the City of Irvine, Jackie served as a Graphic Design & Social Media Program Specialist in the City Manager's Office. Jackie utilized computer graphic programs to design and illustrate various materials such as brochures, flyers, social media posts, and public presentations. Jackie also collaborated with department staff to determine project scopes and intended messages.

Throughout their career, Jackie has demonstrated their proficiency in graphic design, copy editing, writing, and communications strategy.

Jackie Miller attended Chapman University from 2003 to 2007, where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in English with a focus on Journalism. In addition to their formal education, Jackie has obtained several certifications. Jackie earned certifications in Email Marketing and Social Media Marketing from HubSpot Academy in June 2021 and April 2021, respectively. Furthermore, Jackie completed the Irvine Community Police Academy in 2018, the Irvine Supervisor Academy in 2018, and the Leadership Tomorrow OC program in 2020.
