Fred Liggett

Fred Liggett is an experienced sports writer and broadcaster with a diverse background in sports journalism and media production. Since November 2011, Fred has contributed as a freelance sports writer for Lee's Summit Tribune, writing the "Meet A Missouri Maverick" column and providing coverage for Missouri Mavericks and KC Mavericks hockey games, as well as features on Missouri Comets Indoor Soccer. At Freetap Sports, Fred has served as a play-by-play announcer and color commentator for local high school sports while also managing sponsorship sales. Previous roles include working as a master control operator and continuity coordinator for KPXE-TV 50, a freelance broadcaster for Avila University athletics, and various positions in radio production and sports coverage. Fred holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcasting and Film/Speech Communication from the University of Central Missouri.
