Rachael Murtaugh

Rachael Murtaugh is an experienced GIS Data Analyst currently working for the City of Marion, Iowa, since January 2022. Previously, Rachael served as the ReLeaf Program Manager for the City of Cedar Rapids and as the Director of the Office of Sustainability and Stewardship at Mount Mercy University. Rachael began their career as an Environmental Technician at Lewis and Clark Community College/National Great Rivers Research and Education Center, where responsibilities included maintaining the Environmental Chemistry Lab, collecting and analyzing environmental samples, and supervising interns. Rachael's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Conservation Biology and a Graduate Certificate in GIS from Illinois State University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Environmental Science from Coe College.
