Cindy Smith, CGFM, CPM, MPA has a diverse work experience in various roles within the public sector. Cindy is currently the Director of Finance at the City of Mesquite since September 2020. Prior to that, they served as the Assistant Director of Finance Administration at the City of Mesquite from June 2020 to September 2020. From January 2018 to June 2020, Cindy worked as an Audit Manager at the State of AZ-Dept of Administration. Cindy also held multiple positions at the AZ Dept of Health Services, including CFO from August 2015 to January 2018, Assistant CFO from April 2014 to August 2015, Controller from July 2012 to April 2014, and Chief from 2011 to August 2012. Before that, they were the CFO for the Town of Payson, AZ in 2009-2010 and held key roles at the City of McKinney, including Director of Grants & Municipal Court and Interim Assistant City Manager/Administrative Services Director from 2003-2009.
