Alejandro Tirado, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as President of the Rhode Island Municipal Purchasing Agents Association (RIMPAA) since 2023. Alejandro Tirado, Ph.D., received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from the Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in 1998. In 1997, they also completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University, Long Beach. Alejandro went on to pursue a Master of Science degree in Economics at the Universidad de Guadalajara, which they completed in 2001.

In 2007, Alejandro began their doctoral studies at The University of Texas at Dallas, specializing in Political Economy and Public Policy. Alejandro successfully earned their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in this field in 2012.

Continuing their academic journey, Alejandro pursued a second doctorate degree at the Central European University, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Public Policy and Political Economy. The exact completion date of this degree is not specified.

Apart from their formal education, Alejandro Tirado also holds a Specialization Certificate in Construction Procurement, which they obtained in May 2022 from Badgr (now part of Instructure).
