Patricia Socarras

Patricia Socarras has a varied work experience spanning several roles and organizations. Patricia most recently served as the Director of Communications for the City of Providence, a role they started in January 2023. Prior to that, Patricia worked as the Director of Communications and External Affairs for Seth Magaziner's campaign for Rhode Island Congress from January 2022 to November 2022. Patricia also worked as the Director of Communications for Seth Magaziner's campaign for Governor from September 2021 to January 2022. Patricia's experience also includes working as the Deputy Communications Director for the Rhode Island Treasury Department, where they served as a spokesperson and led messaging and branding efforts for key Treasury programs. Before that, they held various positions within the City of Providence, including Press Secretary, Deputy Director of Communications, Deputy Press Secretary, and Communications Associate. Patricia's earlier experience includes working as an Executive Administrative Assistant for the City of Pawtucket, a Fellow for the Rhode Island Democratic Party, an Intern for the City of Providence, a Resident Advisor at Salve Regina University, and an Intern for the Attorney General of Rhode Island.

Patricia Socarras obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology and Anthropology, as well as Philosophy, from Salve Regina University. Patricia attended the university from 2013 to 2017.
