Erika Scheider has extensive work experience in law enforcement, specifically with the City of Roseville, MN. Erika started their career as a Police Officer in 1997 and gradually progressed through various roles such as Police Detective, Detective Sergeant, Investigative Lieutenant, Operations Lieutenant, and Administrative Lieutenant. From 2019 to 2020, they served as the Deputy Chief of Police before being appointed as the Chief of Police in September 2020.
Additionally, Erika Scheider has also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas since May 2015.
Erika Scheider holds a Master's of Arts degree in Police Leadership, Administration, & Education from the University of St. Thomas. Erika obtained their Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology/Communications from Augsburg University. Additionally, they completed a Law Enforcement Certificate at Metro State University. Erika Scheider also attended the FBI National Academy for Session 262. Erika furthered their education by earning a Graduate Certificate of Achievement in Criminal Justice from the University of Virginia.
