Emma Simon

Camp Director at City of Santa Rosa

Emma Simon has a diverse work experience, starting in 2018 as a Soccer Referee for Santa Rosa United. Emma then transitioned to various roles with the City of Santa Rosa, including Camp Counselor, Assistant Camp Director, and most recently, Camp Director. In 2021, they became a News Contributor for the Daily Bruin and simultaneously served as the Publicity Director for the Pediatric AIDS Coalition at UCLA. Emma also worked as a Writer for The Climate Change Review in 2022. More recently, in 2023, they held the position of Communications Intern at The Surfrider Foundation, where they managed content creation for social media, email communications, and website. Emma also worked as a Food Server for Creamy Boys Ice Cream and as a Social Media Manager for CLEAN REEFS.

Emma Simon attended Santa Rosa High School and Santa Rosa Junior College, although the specific dates of their enrollment are unknown. Emma then went on to study at UCLA from 2020 to 2024, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science. In 2023, they also participated in a program called Wildlands Studies, focusing on Environmental Science. In addition to their academic qualifications, Emma obtained certification in CPR/AED/First Aid from the American Red Cross in May 2021.
