Niki Hill, AICP has a diverse range of work experience beginning in 2008. Niki started as an intern at the Public Defender's Office and later worked as an intern for a political campaign and the Mississippi River Regional Planning Commission. In 2011, they became the President of the Milwaukee Student Planning Association, where they played a leadership role in coordinating events and representing the organization. In 2011, they also served as a Planning/GIS Intern for the City of Port Washington. Hill joined the City of Shoreview in 2012 and held various roles including Community Development Intern, Planning and Economic Development Technician, Economic Development and Planning Associate, and most recently, Economic Development Coordinator. Niki is currently working as the Assistant Community Development Director.

Niki Hill, AICP, has a strong educational background in various fields related to urban planning and political science. From 2004 to 2008, they attended the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse where they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. Following that, they pursued their interest in urban planning and GIS by attending the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee from 2010 to 2012, where they earned a Master's degree in Urban Planning. Niki'sstudies included a focus on GIS (Geographic Information Systems). In 2014 and 2015, Niki attended Hamline University, where they obtained a Certificate in Economic Development.

In June 2016, they became AICP Certified through the American Institute of Certified Planners.
