Robert Cheshire is a seasoned engineering and management professional with extensive experience in municipal government and consulting. Currently serving as Deputy City Manager for the City of Statesboro since August 2015, Robert provides administrative and managerial support to the City Manager and oversees various departments and projects. Previously, Robert held the position of City Engineer for the City of Statesboro from 1992 to 2015, with additional roles as Senior Engineer for Maxwell - Reddick and Associates and the City of Greenville. Robert's career began as a Staff Engineer at Harrison and Spencer, Inc., following a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Georgia. Robert's expertise spans civil engineering design, project management, and departmental oversight.
