Brandon Hembree serves as an Adjunct Professor of Political Science at Georgia State University since December 2023 and has been the Mayor of Sugar Hill since January 2022. Hembree is also a Partner at Impact Public Affairs, a position held since December 2003. Prior experience includes roles as a City Council Member and Mayor Pro Tempore in Sugar Hill from October 2013 to September 2021, and as the Governmental Affairs, Communications & Marketing Director for the Georgia Department of Administrative Services from November 2001 to November 2003. Earlier in the career, Hembree worked as a Legislative Analyst at Ford Motor Company from June 1998 to October 2001 and as a Senate Appropriations Committee Aide at the Georgia General Assembly from January 1998 to May 1998. Hembree earned a B.A. in Political Science/Pre-Law from Georgia State University between 1994 and 1998.
