Cecilia Galavotti

Cecilia Galavotti has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Cecilia started their career in 2008 as a Translator/Interpreter and Logistic Supervisor at Serapian, Kueva Srl, Confindustria Italy. From 2012 to 2013, they worked as a Tour Manager Trainer at Contiki Holidays, responsible for organizing and delivering bus tours around Europe. In 2013, they joined Backroads as a Trip Expert until 2015. During this time, they gained experience in providing expert guidance and support to travelers. From 2015 to 2018, Cecilia worked at Grand Circle Corporation as a Program Service Manager, overseeing travel programs in Italy, managing tour itineraries and budget planning, as well as coaching and supervising tour directors. Since 2018, they have been working at Studioglossa Servizi Linguistici as a Consultant, Senior Interpreter, and Conference Translator. Most recently, in 2023, they joined City Wonders Ltd as the Head of Guide Management.

Cecilia Galavotti's education history is as follows:

Cecilia started their educational journey in 1999 and completed high school in 2004 at the "Giovanni Perticari" High School, where they focused on ancient/classical Greek language and literature.

In 2001, they entered the "\"Gioacchino Rossini\"" Conservatory in Pesaro, where they pursued a Master's Degree in Transverse Flute, which they completed in 2005.

From 2005 to 2008, they attended the Università Ca' Foscari Venezia, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Chinese Studies.

In 2007 and 2008, Cecilia had the opportunity to study intensively at the "Global Village Language School" in Beijing, focusing on Chinese language and literature. During the same period, they also attended the "Yunnan Normal University" in Kunming, Yunnan, China, with a particular emphasis on Mandarin Chinese.

Cecilia then pursued further education at Leiden University from 2009 to 2011, where they obtained a Laurea Specialistica (equivalent to a Master's Degree) in Asian Studies/Civilization.

In 2014 and 2015, Cecilia completed a Master's Degree in Business and Management dell'Industria Turistica e Alberghiera at the Sapienza Università di Roma.

Additionally, Cecilia holds several certifications, including a CPR Certification and First Aid at Work from ITC First Aid Ltd, London, obtained in March 2013. Cecilia also obtained an IELTS (ESOL Examination, International English Testing System) certification from the British Council in June 2011. Finally, they earned an HSK (Certificate of Chinese Language Proficiency) Intermediate Level, Grade B (7) from the China National Commission of Chinese Proficiency Test, Ministry of Education of China in June 2009.
