Kevin Cummings

Kevin Cummings has over 20 years of work experience in various leadership and strategic roles. Kevin is currently serving as the Vice President of District and Government Strategy at City Year, where they support educational equity and partnerships with school districts and government agencies. Prior to this, Kevin worked as a Principal at GirdSpur Consulting, LLC, providing consulting services to nonprofit organizations in organizational strategy, leadership development, and capacity building. Kevin also served as the Executive Director of the Institute for Nonprofit Practice, leading the expansion of the organization in NYC and facilitating leadership development sessions. Kevin has held positions at the NYC Department of Small Business Services and the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, where they contributed to workforce development and led program administration and partnership development respectively. Kevin has extensive experience in serving the community, having worked at NYC Service and City Year, where they managed recruitment and developed youth programs. Kevin has a strong background in nonprofit management, fundraising, and strategic planning, and has made significant contributions in advancing diversity, efficacy, innovation, and sustainability in the nonprofit sector.

Kevin Cummings attended Philippa Schuyler Middle School, though the specific years are unknown. Kevin then went on to St. Paul's School, where they completed their education between 1993 and 1997. Kevin later enrolled in Williams College from 1997 to 2001, earning a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
