Liz Looney Lorenz has a diverse work experience, primarily in the field of education and community service. Liz began their career as an AmeriCorps Member with Jumpstart in 2002 and went on to teach in Miami-Dade County Public Schools from 2008 to 2010. Liz then joined City Year in 2010, where they held multiple roles including Program/Service Manager, Director of School Partnerships, Director of New Site Development, and Managing Director of Program and Service. Liz continued to advance within City Year, becoming the Director of Community Learning & Practice from 2019 to 2021 and currently serves as the Vice President of Learning Strategy.
Liz Looney Lorenz holds a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Education Policy and Leadership from The Ohio State University, which they earned in 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Philosophy from The Ohio State University in 2005.
