Rebekah Smyth has worked in various roles in the media industry since 2007. Rebekah began their career as a Journalist, Producer, Researcher, and Editor for TV3 Television Ireland. In 2011, they moved to CBC Television as an Associate Producer. In 2013, they joined NBC News as a Foreign News Editor. In 2015, they joined Dataminr as an EMEA Enterprise Sales - Associate Director. In this role, they were responsible for managing a multi-million pound portfolio of key clients for the EMEA region. Rebekah also opened new markets across the region, and grew Dataminr's global News business by 50%. Rebekah then took on the role of Customer Success Manager, providing excellent customer experience to all Global Enterprise accounts. Finally, they held the role of Product Specialist before joining CitySwift as a Sales Director in 2021.
Rebekah Smyth holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Erasmus from California State University-Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism with French from Dublin City University. Rebekah has also obtained several certifications, including the LSE Negotiation Programme from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in September 2019, Miller Heiman Strategic & Conceptual selling from Miller Heiman Group in May 2019, HEFAT (Hostile Environment and Emergency First Aid Training) from Pilgrims Group Ltd in February 2015, and Media Public Order Safety Awareness from Prime Media Safety Ltd in November 2014.
