Seema Shah

Seema Shah has a diverse work experience that spans multiple industries. Seema is currently the Executive Director at Civic Hall, where they are responsible for building a brand new concept for tech training and learning. Prior to this role, Seema founded and served as the Principal of Urban Strategies & Solutions LLC. Seema also held various positions at the New York State Department of Financial Services, serving as Acting Deputy Superintendent of Innovation Policy and Assistant Deputy Superintendent of Innovation. Seema has also worked at LaGuardia Community College, where they served as the Director of Strategic Innovation and Engagement for the Learning & Innovation Center and as the Director of Planning for Technology and Innovation Initiatives. Additionally, they have worked as the NYC Chapter Lead at Startup Policy Lab and as the Director of Partnerships for NYC BigApps at HR&A. Earlier in their career, Seema held roles at NYC Digital, Seedco, and The Department of Consumer Affairs' Office of Financial Empowerment.

Seema Shah completed their education in a chronological order. Seema began their education at Barnard College and Columbia University in 2002 and graduated in 2006 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Middle East/Asian Languages and Cultures. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Urban Policy Analysis and Management at The New School from 2006 to 2009. In 2016, Seema enrolled in the Zicklin School of Business and completed an Executive MBA program in Business Administration and Management from 2016 to 2018.
