Richard Underwood has worked in the legal industry since 1994. Richard began their career as a Trainee Solicitor at DLA Piper, before moving to Martineau Johnson as a Partner in 1996. In 2011, they became a Corporate Partner at SGH Martineau, and in 2013 they took on the role of Corporate Partner at Legal Clarity and Director at Clarilis. At Legal Clarity, they deliver corporate legal services to owner managed businesses and their stakeholders, providing a cost effective service as an alternative to the traditional law firm. At Clarilis, they work with a document automation system that improves the quality of documents and saves fee-earners a significant amount of time in producing a first draft of all forms of legal document.

Richard Underwood attended Loughborough Grammar School from 1981 to 1988, Durham University from 1989 to 1992 where they studied Theirtory & Economics, and The University of Law from 1992 to 1994 studying Law.
