Cheryl D. C.

Cheryl D. C. has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Cheryl D. is currently working as the Senior Director of Strategy and Impact at Clean Energy Buyers Association, where they focus on membership and digital strategy. Prior to this, they served as a Senior Strategic Account Manager and a Renewable Contract Analyst at Duke Energy Corporation. Cheryl also has experience working as an Attorney at Legal Aid of North Carolina, an Associate Attorney at Frilot L.L.C., and a Compliance Specialist at Tower Legal Solutions. Cheryl D. has a background in education, having worked as a Principal at Summit High School and as a Teacher and Union Representative at Detroit School of Arts.

Cheryl D. C. began their education by attending Interlochen Arts Academy from 1988 to 1991, where they earned a High School Diploma with a field of study in Music. Cheryl D. then went on to the University of Michigan from 1994 to 1997, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Cello performance with Teacher Certification. Continuing their education, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership at Western Michigan University from 2000 to 2007. Later, from 2004 to 2008, they attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and earned a Juris Doctor degree in Law.

In terms of additional certifications, Cheryl received a Certificate of Diversity and Inclusion (HR Professionals) from the Cornell University ILR School in 2021. Prior to that, they completed the McKinsey Black Leadership Academy's Management Accelerator, the Problem Solving certification from McKinsey & Company, as well as the Civil Treatment: Building an Inclusive Workplace program from ELI, Inc, in 2022. Additionally, Cheryl obtained certifications in Strategy Execution from the Harvard Business School in 2023, and the Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM) from the Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA) in the same year.

Cheryl is also licensed to practice law in Louisiana and North Carolina, according to the Louisiana State Bar and the North Carolina State Bar, respectively.
