Cheryl D. C. has an extensive work experience spanning several industries and roles. Continuing their education, they pursued a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership at Western Michigan University from 2000 to 2007. Later, from 2004 to 2008, they attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law and earned a Juris Doctor degree in Law.

Prior to that, they completed the McKinsey Black Leadership Academy's Management Accelerator, the Problem Solving certification from McKinsey & Company, as well as the Civil Treatment: Building an Inclusive Workplace program from ELI, Inc, in 2022. Additionally, Cheryl obtained certifications in Strategy Execution from the Harvard Business School in 2023, and the Certified Strategic Account Manager (CSAM) from the Strategic Account Management Association (SAMA) in the same year.

Cheryl is also licensed to practice law in Louisiana and North Carolina, according to the Louisiana State Bar and the North Carolina State Bar, respectively.
