Michael Antoine

Michael Antoine has three years of work experience. In 2018, they were a Research Associate at Bluestar Genomics, Inc - Precision Epigenomic Medicine, where they were the team lead for processing patient and healthy donor blood and tissue samples, isolation of cfDNA from processed donor plasma samples, and characterization and QC of cfDNA for NGS library preparation for use on Illumina platforms. In 2017, they were a Contract Research Associate at F1 Oncology, where they were responsible for transfection, harvest, and concentration of pseudotyped Lenti-virus, characterization of virus via western blotting, ELISA, qRT-PCR, and functional titers, and isolated PBMCs from donor leukopaks and subsequent transduction for CAR-T cell production. From 2014 to 2017, they were a Graduate Research Assistant at California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo, where they designed, cloned, and QC'd mutated LAGLIDADG homing endonucleases in expression vectors, transformation of engineered protein vectors into expression and storage bacterial cell lines, and expression and subsequent column-based purification of engineered proteins.

Michael Antoine attended California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2008 to 2014, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Microbiology, General and Human Biology. Michael then returned to California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo from 2014 to 2017, where they earned a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology.
