Yuhong Ning has worked in the field of computational biology since 1999. Yuhong began their career as a Database Programmer at Digital Gene Technologies in 1999. In 2000, they moved to Immunex as a Computational Biologist. In 2001, they joined the San Diego Supercomputer Center as a Computational Scientist, where they were the lead java developer for the AfCS-NPG Molecule Page. In 2005, they were hired as a Principal Scientist at Celgene. In 2015, they joined Sequenom Laboratories as a Sr. Computational Geneticist. Since 2018, they have been a Distinguished Computational Biologist and Principal Computational Biologist at ClearNote Health (formerly Bluestar Genomics).
Yuhong Ning began their educational journey at Nanjing University, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Biology between 1986 and 1990. Yuhong then attended the University of Southern California, where they earned a Master of Science in Computer Software Engineering between 1996 and 1998, as well as a Ph.D in Molecular Biology between 1993 and 1998.
